May is Heart and Stroke Awareness Month

One of the main goals of the National Stroke Association, is to educate people on how to lower their risk of having a Stroke.

Some warning signs of a stroke

•Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
•Sudden confusions, trouble speaking or understanding what is being said to you
•Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
•Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
•Sudden severe headache with no known cause

Some of the causes of a Stroke are directly related to weight control, high blood pressure, and lifestyle stress.
Stress in our lives contributes to bad eating, exercise, sleep, and pleasure-time, habits. All of these things, raise our risk of having a Stroke.
For some, all of these things come together, to equal tension, at home, work, even leisure time (if any), can be stressful because it seems stolen, and, we often feel, we "should" be somewhere else.

Serotonin is a hormone produced by the body. Widely known as the feel-good hormone, or the body's self made tranquilizer. The more you can produce, the more relaxed and calm you can be, making it easier to handle our daily stress. By doing this, we can, balance our food and exercise schedule and ward off controllable risk factors that can lead to a Stroke.

Medical research has shown a rise in serotonin levels (by testing saliva) in individuals after Massage, therefore, lowering stress, and leaving you with that feel-good feeling!

So, inviting Massage into your office can not only rejuvenate and raise your staff morale, and physical and emotional health, it will also be positively motivating to their work, and home environment.
